We’re still in the warmer months; or, as we like to call it–hangover season. It’s time to get ready to spend some time outside! To help get everyone excited, we’ve gone ahead and compiled a list of our four favorite outdoor drinking games.

This list would lose all credibility if it did not include cornhole. One of the classic lawn games that is designed to be played with a drink in hand, no backyard is complete without a set.

This game is played with two wooden ramps with holes cut out of the middle and eight bean bags. The goal of the game is to score 21 points before the opposing team does. Points are scored by throwing your teams bags either into the hole for three points, or onto the ramp for one point. Of course, the other team can cancel your points out by landing their bags on the ramp too.

Trust us, this game is addicting as they come and perfect for enjoying a beer in the sun. Not only that, but it’s also easy to make your own set if you have a few tools lying around.

Giant Beer Pong
Giant beer pong requires a bit more materials than most games but is incredibly fun. The “cups” can either be made out of buckets or large trash bins. Depending on what you use for cups the balls can either be tennis balls or kickballs. Other than that, this game plays exactly like regular beer pong!

It is worth noting, that unlike regular beer pong, these cups have to be filled with water. No one is going to drink six trash cans worth of beer and make it out ok.

Spikeball has been gaining popularity over the last several years, and for good reason! This game is actually a product of Sharktank, but is truly a solid investment. Think of it like a 360 degree game of ping pong, but instead of bouncing the ball of a table, it’s being bounced off of a trampoline. This game is incredibly active, but also compact and perfect for any backyard or park day.

As a drinking game the rules are simple: beers have to be in hands at all time and every time you lose a point you take a drink. This can get out of hand quickly, so make sure you don’t have to drive anywhere and keep plenty of water on hand.

Polish Horseshoes
Polish horseshoes might be the oldest of all the games we’re talking about here. Not only is it fun, but it’s easy to play and you don’t have to buy any kind of kit to do it. All you need are two poles set a good distance apart that you can balance an empty beer bottle on and a frisbee.

The rules are easy, much like Cornhole, this game is traditionally played until one team scores 21 points. Players must have a drink in their hand at all team, leaving one hand free for throwing and catching. Points are scored by knocking the bottle off the post or hitting the post directly.

Of course, there are dozens of other great outdoor drinking games out there. These are just some of our favorites! Of course, whenever you drink (especially when you are playing a drinking game) it’s important to drink responsibly. Never drink and drive and remember to stay hydrated!
